1. PROGRAM

Sunday September 8th
From 18:00, an ice-breaker party will be held in an antique palazzo in the city center, close to the main University in Strada Conservatorio n°2 (1° floor).

2. REGISTRATION


Registration fee 110 EUR per person. Reduced rate 70 EUR for students and persons in need of assistance.
Registration fee will cover Conference Program, Abstract Volume, Ice-breaker Party, Coffee-breaks, Concerts, Guided tour of artistic localities of the area.

Accommodation is to be paid directly to Parma Incoming Srl (see Hotel reservation)

Payments after February 28, 2002 will increase to:
Registration: 140/80 EUR

Cancellations prior to July 31, 2002 will receive a reimbursement of 80% of the amount paid; all refunding demands will be processed after the conference.


5. ABSTRACTS (to be published in "Journal of Nannoplankton Research")

Abstracts to be sent to Jackie Lees ( j.lees@ucl.ac.uk) preferably electronically, as Microsoft Word files. Illustrations are welcome, but please send illustration files as separate files NOT as images embedded in a Word File.

6. TALKS

As far as possible we will endeavour to accommodate all presentations suggested, however, in the event of oversubscription we may need to be selective of oral presentations, in this case we may limit participants to one oral presentation.


Time for talks: 15-20 min.


7. POSTERS

Posters sessions will be formally organised. All posters will be displayed throghout the duration of the conference but on each day there will be a specific poster theme related to the oral theme.


Selected presenters will be invited to give brief oral introductions to their posters.

Poster size: A0 (841 x 1189mm)
Material to fix posters will be available in the conference office


10. PUBLICATIONS

The Conference Proceedings will be published as part of the Special Publications Series established by INA at Bremen, which will publish all INA conference proceedings, starting from 2002 or in a journal of wide distribution, that we are contacting.


11. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE


Very limited funds are available to help with travel assistance to the meeting, applications should be sent to David Watkins (dwatkins1@unl.edu), or to INA9@unipr.it

According to INA regulations, certain conditions have to be met to allow you to qualify for sponsorship.
Please note that if you have received a travel grant before, you may not apply again.

12. THIRD CIRCULAR


The third Circular will be sent by e-mail, only to those who have returned the registration form, along with the required fees by deadline of March 22, 2002.
